Flower Shower in the Middle of Winter?

Hello... Yes, its been a while but I am sure you know how it goes, busy with work, family, studying, and trying to squeeze in scrapping and blogging makes for some interesting juggling!

But I have found a little time to work on a mini.  I am so desperate for summer at this point that I went ahead and made a Summer mini! There is a hill on its way to becoming a mountain in my front yard that is not melting and we are going to get more snow before this is over... ugh!

Ok.. On to the good stuff.. The mini was made out of "money envelopes" that I designed using Cricut's Design Studio.  I wanted to have something that wasn't going to be to heavy and easy to work with.  All the paper and embellies in and on the album are from the DCWV Flower Shower Spring Stack.  This is last springs collection and it is beautiful wonderful papers in this and the embellishments and sticker packs are great too!

Here is a short (ok.. not overly long) video showing the Mini..

If you would like a copy of the DS file leave me a comment and I will forward it to you. I used only the George cart. to make it but I am sure if you don't have that one I could make it using Plantin Schoolbook. UPDATE - You can now download the file at this link!

I have tried to send it out to people but I think the file is to large or people are not accepting attachments... either way, you should be able to get it here!

Thanks for stopping by, Leave a comment... I love reading them and knowing what you think!

  1. Wow! I don't have DS nor do I have any kind of binder so I can't make it but I wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed seeing it. I think I agree about the page with the birdcage being the favorite but you kept turning the page and I oh and ah time and time again. I love the little hidden pocket on the back of the tags. I think you left plenty of room for small pictures and journals. I really think it is adorable and if I can figure out how to bind one without a machine I may just make a few (flower themed because I also need to think spring among all this snow) for gifts. Thank you so much for sharing it.

  5. Hi Sue! Thanks so much for your comment. I wanted to let you know that there is a way to bind the mini without a Bind it All... You can use 2 or 3 book rings. You can get them from any craft store or walmart or office supply store. They work just fine. If you don't have DS you can use money envelopes and cover them with designer paper. That would work as well. Remember to share your mini when your done!

  8. Wow, how do you remember where everything comes from? I open the package and throw away the packaging and then pile it on top of my other stuff. I couldn't tell you the name or maker of anything. I had hoped you would share how you made the money envelopes as they looked like a great size for a mini book. I have such a long "want list" guess that binding it all machine is my next big purchase.
